It has been a long while since I've had a really good weekend with the kids and the husband! But this weekend was wonderful! It was sunny and not so cold, we could actually go out without the usual winter coat, a little spring coat did it! So I went to the park with the kids, A in his rubber boots and Z in the stroller with a cozy blanket. When we got to the park I was so glad I had put the rubber boots on A because the thing was flooded but A had the most fun in the water up to his ankles and mud to spare!
We also cleaned the house, a little mind you because weekends are for fun with the kids, since we don't see much of each other during the week, work and all. So hubby did the floors and A and I did the laundry! I love kids at this age, they actually want to help! Z did her part... she pick up her toys, well she tried to pick up her toys and put them in the toy bin, but it was A that really did the work.
We cooked our spaghetti sauce for the month and mom (that's me) did the dishes.
Finally, we went to get Z's b-day gifts. A help choose but then when we got home he wanted to play with the toys right a way! I had to explain again that her b-day is only on the 28th and we would open the gifts only when Grand-maman Lyli and Papi would come over. I don't think he gets it still, but he stopped asking once I wrapped everything in the paper and put the gifts away!
So, my week is going to be stuffed. I have to get the house spotless and prepare what I can for z's party, because next week I won't have time since it's my first week back at work! Yes, just one more week at home and then the real stress starts! I've actually broken out in a rash, my neck is covered and so are my arms! I know I have nothing to fear, it will go fine and I'm worrying for nothing again, but that's what I do! WORRY! OK enough of that! I have to do the beds up now!
