I'm freaking out here!

No really! I'm freaking out!!! I have 3 days left with my kids and then it's back to work full time! And my Z is sick, she has a runny nose and a bad couch, you know the one that sounds like an old lady that smokes 3 packs a day!

So today I have kept my darlings at home instead of sending them to daycare! I am trying to enjoy this time with them but it's hard when Z is crying for the most part and A is running around the house looking for what to do next. I've got a load of dishes on the counter waiting to be cleaned and the bathrooms need a good scrub, but instead of doing that while z is taking a nap, I'm at the computer reading e-mails, blogs and still searching for that perfect house! I tell myself "I still have the weekend to do most of the cleaning and hubby will help so why worry?!"

n top of the normal cleaning have left to the last minute, I have to do the preparations for Z's b-day party that will be on the 28, since I've done nothing this week, really nothing! I've cooked the normal meals and cleaned the dishes and vacuumed but I've done nothing for the party! I need to prepare some kind of cake and they'll expect food, so I need to do some of that. Because I don't want to be cooking on Saturday, I've decided that it would be mostly cold food, like salads and stuff. I'll take lots of pictures!

And as for work, well I just don't know! I've met my new supervisor but I didn't get loads out of him, I'm to have a 5 week training before going back on the phones. But I don't know what to expect of the people there and I don't even have a parking space, our offices are in an industrial park and so we can't park in the street and the parking lot is only for the company's trucks so us lowly employees have to find our parking elsewhere. I ask the new supervisor where I could go, but he goes to work by bus... So he had no idea, he didn't even offer to look in to it and maybe ask some of the people that do use a car to come to work where they go and how it cost! So first day I have no f#@$ idea where to put my car, and the bus is not an option for me, I need to pick up the kids from day care and the buses don't come near my home! So I might just leave the car in one of the guest spots and have my supervisor find me a solution!!!

And finally, we visited our first house yesterday and it looked real good. The woman had good taste and the finishes around the house were nice, but and there is a big but... the lot is only 3000' scared so really small and it's not fenced, that would mean that my kids would be running around the neighbors back yard all the time, until we could put up a fence. So for the money she is asking, I think it's a no, but if we don't find anything else and it's still on the market we'll make an offer.

So with all this stress my rash is worst then ever, I'll have to see a doctor about it soon. In the meantime, my mother has suggested I take a warm bath in oatmeal, which I'll do tonight if I get a chance to take a bath!

Will keep you posted on work and house hunting, but my post might be further a part for a while or at least until I get use to the new schedule!

  1. It will get better after that first week back. There's something about waiting for a big change like this to happen that can rip your insides up. But once you settle into routine you'll be able to breathe better.

Be patient with yourself - you're doing a great job!

  2. We finally cleaned tonight when my hubby came home and I'll tell ya...though I know you know...it's NOT easy cleaning being 3 days away from 40 weeks! I never liked cleaning anyway...but it has to be done (sigh). I hope the birthday party and house hunting goes well!! Also I hope that going back to work isn't too hard...I know you'll miss your little ones!

  3. Yikes, you got a lot going on!!!! I sure do hope you found time to take that oatmeal bath. That sounds good even to me and I don't have a rash. Well, I wanted to say thank you for coming by last week. I have been playing catch up! Good luck with everything.
